Chau Chak Wing Museum at the University of Sydney
The Chau Chak Wing Museum project is the creation of a forward-thinking, innovative and much-needed cultural and intellectual space at the University of Sydney. It sees the collections of the Macleay Museum, the Nicholson Museum and the University of Sydney's Art Collection, as well as other cultural highlights from the University's significant and historic collections, consolidated into the one site in a refurbishment of the Macleay and Edgeworth David Buildings and the construction of a contemporary extension to link the two.
Why did we fund this project? The Chau Chak Wing Museum provides state-of-the-art facilities for the collections to be used for cutting-edge research and a wide range of teaching purposes at the University of Sydney, as well as allow visitors from the communities of Sydney, and across Australia and internationally, to have free access and engage with items in the collection in dynamic and innovative exhibitions.
THE CHAU CHAK WING MUSEUM OPENED 18 NOVEMBER 2020. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION AND VISITING HOURS
