2MOONS is a feature film developed by Co-Curious in partnership with Powerhouse Museum Parramatta and created by five emerging Western Sydney writers through the Co-Curious multi-writer model.

Set in near-future Parramatta, the story follows five individuals over two weeks as they confront the possibility of the end of the world, exploring identity, family, ambition and choice. The film expands representations of Western Sydney beyond traditional narratives, offering a contemporary and nuanced view of Australian life.

Co-Curious develops innovative filmmaking models while supporting the next generation of Australian storytellers. They place writers at the centre of the creative process, with a focus on reflecting the diversity and lived experiences of contemporary Australia and creating pathways for emerging screenwriters to build sustainable careers.

Co-Curious’ debut feature film, Here Out West, opened the Sydney Film Festival in 2021 and was nominated for Best Film at the AACTA Awards. Through development programs, industry partnerships and professional opportunities, Co-Curious brings authentic Australian stories to the screen while nurturing new creative talent.
