Sydney Peace Week

Jennifer Robinson at Town Hall by Sydney Peace Foundation

About

The Sydney Peace Foundation advances peace with justice by creating opportunities for people to engage with the ideas, leaders and movements shaping a more just and equitable world. Its flagship annual initiative, Sydney Peace Week, brings together students, educators, policymakers and the wider community for a week of public events, dialogue and learning focused on the most pressing issues of our time.

A cornerstone of Sydney Peace Week is the Sydney Peace Prize, Australia’s only international award recognising outstanding global leadership in peace, human rights and social justice. In 2026, the Prize will be awarded to Jennifer Robinson in recognition of her work advancing free speech, press freedom, gender equality and climate justice.

Our support will enable students to participate in the 2026 Sydney Peace Week by attending the Sydney Peace Prize Lecture and Award Ceremony at Sydney Town Hall, the Sydney Peace Foundation Gala Dinner, and an exclusive pre-lecture event with Jennifer Robinson, policymakers and community leaders.

By connecting young people with internationally recognised changemakers and contemporary issues of justice and human rights, Sydney Peace Week inspires civic participation, critical thinking and a lifelong commitment to creating positive social change.
