In a national first, the Nelson Meers Foundation supported the Gallery to employ its first ever specialist Indigenous tour guides, who are now available daily to lead patrons through a tour of art highlights in the Gallery.

We are privileged to have been able to support the recruitment of 2 specialist Indigenous guides. Their in-depth knowledge and connection to Indigenous art and culture enhances the appreciation and understanding of the Collection and will grow the appreciation, enjoyment and understanding of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and culture.
