The iconic Sydney Film Festival is a world-renowned annual festival of film, reflecting the unique experiences of people, communities and cultures across Australia and around the world through cinema.  The Festival encourages us to get out of our comfort zone, engage in constructive dialogue and be inspired and challenged by the extraordinary films it presents.

Film in its many forms has always been an important medium for the Nelson Meers Foundation.  Storytelling has always been one of the crucial ways for humans to comprehend and navigate challenging times, because the empathy embedded within stories connects us deeply to one another. When we experience these stories together in a crowded cinema, that feeling of community is even more wonderful!
