Songman is the debut feature film from First Nations production company Djali House. Written and directed by Stephen Page and starring Aaron Pedersen and Hunter Page-Lochard, the film tells the story of visionary composer, performer and cultural leader David Page, whose groundbreaking work helped shape contemporary Indigenous performance in Australia. Through music, memory and family, the film celebrates David’s enduring artistic legacy while exploring themes of cultural identity, Indigenous queer experience, mental health and resilience.
