The Nelson Meers Foundation is proud to have once again supported the Sydney Festival with the 2024 event, Vigil: The Future.

A large-scale installation at Barangaroo came to life with a choir of First Nations young people, singing of their dreams, realities and hopes for the future. The multi-media performance was a tribute to Me-Mel (Goat Island), which sits in the Harbour and was the backdrop for tonight’s event.  Vigil was created by Jacob Nash and Stephen Page.

Vigil is about hope, empowering young voices and giving them a platform to share their messages to the people of Australia. It is a privilege to support Jake Nash’s and Stephen Page’s vision for the 2024 Vigil.
