In 2003, 2004 and 2005, the Nelson Meers Foundation was the National Partner for the AYO’s regional “Young Australian Concert Artists” program, giving regional musicians the unique opportunity to rehearse and perform with an AYO ensemble.

Since 1948, AYO has trained, empowered and inspired young musicians as Australia’s leaders, thinkers and artists, through music education and performance experiences of the highest standard.

There is no other national organisation with the passion, power and potential to bring young people to music and music to young people like the Australian Youth Orchestra.  It is critically important that our young regional musicians have the opportunity to play with the AYO.
