Philanthropy Australia
New Generation of Giving Program

Philanthropy Australia is Australia's national peak body for giving and philanthropy. Its New Generation of Giving program aims to grow and develop the community of young Australian philanthropists, and to enable its members to take up leadership roles within the philanthropic sector. The current members of the New Gen program have diverse interests, ranging from international aid to the arts, to medical research and education. The only one of its kind in Australia, the program provides a peer-to-peer network, access to best practices in giving in Australia and bespoke brokered opportunities for involvement in all aspects of giving.

Why did we fund this project? One of the Nelson Meers Foundation's core philosophies is to encourage greater levels of giving in Australia. Giving consideration to ways in which we can each use our resources, whatever they may be, to help others within the community should be part of our everyday lives. By providing clear pathways by which younger generations can embrace giving in all its forms, we believe Philanthropy Australia's New Gen program will make an invaluable contribution to strengthening Australia's growing culture of giving.
