Acquisition of ‘Across the Black Soil Plains’
The Dubbo Regional Gallery
The Nelson Meers Foundation assisted in the acquisition of the study for George Lambert’s iconic painting “Across the Black Soil Plains”. The balance of the funding was provided by the Dubbo community.
Dubbo Regional Gallery (DRG) was established in 1989 after many years of lobbying and planning by the Dubbo community. Housed in refurbished buildings in Darling Street Dubbo, DRG soon grew to become an integral part of the region through its innovative exhibitions, collection, education and outreach programs.
