Foundation for Young Australians
Young Social Pioneers
The Foundation for Young Australians' Young Social Pioneers Program (YSP) is Australia's only incubator for emerging social innovators, entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and changemakers aged between 18 and 29. The Nelson Meers Foundation is supporting the Arts and Creative Industries component of the YSP Program to ensure there are opportunities for young cultural innovators to develop the skills and creative thinking required to create a world in which future generations can drive Australia's social and economic progress. These Young Social Pioneers are ambitious and creative and have each conceptualised innovative ways to tackle some of society's biggest challenges.
Selected from more than 340 applicants, for the following 6 months the Pioneers will enter FYA's Incubator Program where they will sharpen their ideas, develop their business and leadership skills, and receive expert mentorship. At the end of the program, participants will pitch their ventures to other entrepreneurs, philanthropists and business leaders for the opportunity to secure a slice of $70,000 in seed funding to take their project to the next level. The Foundation for Young Australians (FYA) believes that young people are ambitious, creative and capable of rethinking the world and solving tomorrow’s problems today. FYA’s Young Social Pioneers (YSP) is Australia’s only incubator for emerging social innovators, entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and changemakers aged 18-29 years.
Why did we fund this program? We are supporting the Arts and Creative Industries component of the YSP Program to ensure there are opportunities for young cultural innovators to develop the skills and creative thinking required to create a world in which future generations can drive Australia’s social and economic progress.
