Power Institute - Power Publications Digital Portfolio

Power Publications is the publishing arm of the Power Institute for Art and Visual Culture at the University of Sydney. Operating since the early 1980s, Power Publications is recognised as a leading publisher of books in contemporary art and theory, cultural studies, media studies, and film and animation. Its mission is to make the latest ideas and theories around contemporary art and visual cultures available to a national and international readership.

The Nelson Meers Foundation is delighted to have supported the digitalisation of Power Publications' Operations, so that it could convert its back catalogue and publish future text in digital format.

Why did we fund this project? Consistent with our commitment to ensuring greater access to and understanding of the arts, we were delighted to be supporting this seminal publisher of crucial ideas-driven texts to extend the possibilities for the dissemination of ideas and scholarship via new formats to a broader audience.
